Looking for some place different for a walk in fresh air while we wait out the pandemic! How about a drive to Rough and Ready and a walk through the cemetery, one of the County’s newest historical landmarks. It reportedly contains over 400 graves, most of which are marked.
The oldest marker appears to be that of Dr. McReynolds, who died in 1850.
Unlike some of the other historic cemeteries in the county in which interments stopped for good or for a long period of time, there are markers from seemingly every decade since 1850. And you won’t have to worry about social distancing.
While there, help solve a mystery surrounding this grave. What does “It wasn’t me” mean?
