In case you missed it:
On September 9, 2017, several hundred people enjoyed the first ever French Connection festival at the Malakoff Diggins State Historic Park in North Bloomfield.
Organized by the Friends of North Bloomfield and Malakoff Diggins, the celebrants enjoyed food, wine and beer (until it ran out about 2 PM – it was that kind of crowd). They enjoyed music by Beaucoup Chapeaux,
and a marionette show which explained the origin of the mine’s name (named after a French victory in the Crimean War).
There were many other entertainments as well as a large Clamper presence (is that why the beer ran out?) who gave rides on Clementine.
